myCibo

myCibo is an all-in-one food management mobile application designed to simplify users' culinary experiences by seamlessly tracking food inventory, crafting personalized recipes based on available ingredients, and facilitating grocery receipt scanning to restock supplies. The primary goal of this project is to deliver a user-friendly platform for effortless food-related management.

This project was developed using React Native and Expo Go, with a database hosted on CockroachDB and an Express backend API hosted on Railway. Throughout the development process, I actively participated in every aspect, including design, frontend, backend, and database modeling.

The most significant challenge we encountered during the application's development was our relative inexperience with React Native and mobile development. Nevertheless, we successfully overcame hurdles associated with implementing Auth0 and hosting our application on both the Apple and Google stores within our deadline.

A major accomplishment for our team was the seamless integration of the receipt scanning feature and the incorporation of the OpenAI API into the application, enhancing its overall functionality and user experience.
